welcome to the blog!
As a Dallas wedding photographer I have been to a ton of Dallas wedding venues. And I have some favorites! Dallas has a wide variety of different wedding venues, from hotel ballrooms to grand outdoor barns to industrial warehouses. Whatever your vision is, Dallas will likely have something you’ll love! Here are some of my top picks for the best Dallas wedding venues (in no particular order)
The Olana is one of the best Dallas wedding venues. The building has incredible baroque details, from the chandeliers to the indoor swimming pool, everything is over the top and luxurious. There is even a basketball court and bowling alley! Though what really makes me, a wedding photographer, swoon, are the gorgeous gorgeous floor to ceiling windows, beautiful intricate baroque details, and the sprawling and manicured gardens.
The venue can accommodate up to 275 comfortably for a reception! If a couple is hoping to host a micro wedding or ceremony only they have special seating and packages for that as well – the best part about the venue is that depending on your guest count, almost any space could be used for a ceremony!
The Olana is truly one of the best wedding venues in Dallas!
The Nest at Ruth Farms is such a gorgeous space. If you are looking for an upscale but rustic feel, look no further than the Nest! The gorgeous white ceilings and walls, the large open windows- factors for stunning portraits.
The venue can accommodate 300 people, inside or out. It’s a great option for couples wanting a gorgeous indoor venue.

The Filter Building is a great Dallas wedding venue that’s slightly more on the affordable side. It was built in 1922 as a filtration site for Dallas’ water, (hence the name). The Filter Building is a fantastic place for wedding photos- the exposed brick, the lakeside views- it is absolutely picturesque!
The venue can accommodate up to 200 people and offers an indoor or outdoor ceremony option.
The Grand Ivory is another gorgeous all white venue with rustic, upscale touches. Unlike The Nest, the Grand Ivory is lots of smaller buildings scattered about rather than one big barn. This might be a better option for you if you have a large wedding party or want separate ceremony and reception spaces.
The Grand Ivory accommodates up to 275 people and offers a gorgeous covered overhang for ceremonies. All the benefits of an outdoor ceremony without the fear of weather!
On the Levee is a brand new Dallas wedding venue that combines gorgeous open space with unique industrial touches. The venue is massive with 12,000 square feet of flexible space and 22ft ceilings. The venue has parking for 500 people and complimentary seating for 300. If you’re having a large wedding and want your reception to feel like a nightclub, this is the space for you!
One Preston Events is one of my favorite and best Dallas wedding venues! There are two main buildings, a ceremony site with lots of natural light and a large open reception venue. The venue is situated with a beautiful small lake in the middle and has some of the most gorgeous sunset light I’ve ever seen!
The ceremony site can accommodate up to 200 people and the reception space can seat up to 400.
