Reason why I love Spruce Mountain Ranch
- The limitless ceremony and reception options. The Ranch has several different ceremony and reception sites. The main ranch is split into two. There’s the Lower Ranch containing Albert’s Lodge (250 capacity), the Colorado Room (80 capacity), or the Mountainside ceremony site (100 capacity). Then there’s the larger Upper Ranch containing the Ponderosa Room (325 capacity) and Trey’s Vista (100 capacity). No matter your vision or the weather, Spruce Mountain Ranch has you covered!
2. The incredible multi-use indoor/outdoor spaces. Almost all the structures at Spruce have easy access to the great outdoors. Which, if you’re getting married in Colorado is probably a huge win. I just love the ability to open the doors fully to allow guests to mingle inside and outside.
3. The mountain views. The outdoor ceremony sites are truly unbeatable. Saying your vows with mountains all around seems like a dream!
4. The rustic touches. This venue is a true Colorado mountain venue. I love the rustic wooden elements and large fireplaces. The venue is a working ranch, so the elements all feel authentic and real.
5. The outdoor fireplaces. I love the ambiance of having an outdoor fireplace. You can even roast s’mores!

Getting Ready
Getting ready at Spruce Mountain Ranch is easy. There are several large getting ready suites conveniently located right next to each other. The main suite in the Ponderosa room looks out onto the reception space– it’s super fun to be able to see your reception come to life! There plenty of windows for natural light and lots of rustic touches.
Ceremony
As mentioned above, there are lots of ceremony sites at Spruce. My favorite is located at the Upper Ranch, right off of the Ponderosa Room (pictured below). This site has sweeping views of the mountains and plenty of space for up to 325 guests!
Reception
If you’re having a large gathering, the Ponderosa Room is probably for you. This reception site features massive garage doors, huge ceilings and even a stage for a live band or DJ. There is plenty of room to spread out and includes a gorgeous courtyard complete with twinkly fairylights for your guests to mingle outside.
Photo Locations
There are lots of photo opportunities for a Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding. If you want mountain, tall grassy fields, a lake, pine trees– Spruce Mountain Ranch has you covered! Whether you choose the Upper or Lower Ranch, your photos will be gorgeous!

As snowflakes danced in the crisp December air, the couple sealed their love with emotional vows amidst the picturesque landscape of the ranch. The joyful celebration included delightful snowball fights and even adorable donkey companions, adding a touch of whimsy to the heartwarming festivities.

Things to consider when booking a Colorado wedding venue
- Is there a good rain plan? Colorado weather can change quickly. It’s super important that your venue has a solid rain plan that you love. The Ranch has so many different indoor options, there’s sure to be one that you’ll love.
- How accessible is the venue? You want a venue that you and your guests can get to easily. Luckily this venue is only an easy 45 minute drive south of Denver.
- Will it comfortably accommodate your guest count? You don’t want to feel cramped on your wedding day. Having enough space to move around and socialize is super important. Spruce Mountain Ranch is massive and all the reception spaces have so much room to congregate and socialize.
