Holy Ghost Catholic Church is one of the many church wedding venues in Denver. It is located right in the heart of Denver, making it incredibly accessible and easy to move to the reception portion of the day.

Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Denver is located on California Street, in North Capitol Hill. There are tons of hotels and wedding venues nearby to accomodate for the evening portion of your wedding day. Check out some of my favorite Denver wedding venues here! The wedding featured heavily in this guide was held at the Oxford Hotel.
Holy Ghost Church is absolutely stunning on the inside with incredible light fixtures and tall balconies. The rules and regulations of photography inside the church varies with each Priest but the general rules are no flash photography and the photographer must stand behind guests and off to the sides. (I had a very flexible Priest for the featured wedding and was allowed to stand up front for processional and utilize very limited flash. But that might not be the norm).
After the recessional, guests can line up outside the church doors and have a sort of fun exit. Polluting items are not allowed (rice, confetti, flower petals, etc.) but you can use streamers and bubbles, which make a really fun photo opp!
There are so many incredible photo locations around the Church. You’re a short drive from Union Station, which always makes for incredible photos. You really cannot go wrong. If you’re wanting an urban backdrop for your photos, you’re in luck. If you’re wanting more greenery, I’d recommend venturing to one of the nearby parks, such as City Park or Cheesman Park.
There are tons of awesome venues located in Downtown Denver, most are going to be hotel venues– which is fantastic because then you can get ready and have your reception at the same spot.
