A tour of the Thompson Denver
Getting Ready
There are 216 luxury rooms available at the Thompson, which means getting ready for your wedding day will be stress free and relaxing. Each room is beautifully decorated and filled with natural light, making it the perfect place to get ready for your wedding day.
All couples receive an exclusive wedding room block rate for you and your guests.
Ceremony
Most ceremonies at the Thompson will be held off site at one of the many churches or venues nearby. However, if you’re having a small, intimate gathering, you can have your ceremony at the Thompson as well. I recommend the stunning upstairs room at Reynard Social. There is a beautiful white fireplace and panorama views of downtown Denver.
Cocktail Hour
There are plenty of places for guests to mingle at The Thompson. With its spacious floor plans and plentiful seating, the Thompson will allow your guests to spread out and relax in between ceremony and reception.
Reception
Depending on the size of your event, wedding receptions can either be held downstairs in the residential style foyer or in the smaller intimate Reynard Social room. Either locations have a swanky and upscale feels, with classic Colorado touches.
Photo Locations
The options for portraits at The Thompson Denver are limitless! We can stroll throughout the beautiful and historic streets of LoDo, take a short walk to the stunning Union Station, or utilize the swanky hotel property for beautiful indoor photos.
Why you should have a Thompson Denver Wedding
- Right in the heart of Denver. The Thompson could not be more conveniently located. It will be a breeze for your guests to stay so close to the city center.
- The upscale feel. The Thompson doesn’t feel like a traditional, cheesy hotel wedding venue. There are no awful carpets or decor, it feels very swanky and photographs lovely.
- The ability to get ready and stay on site. This is such an underrated perk! There is truly nothing better than getting ready on site. And the fact that you and your guests can party and then walk straight to the elevator at the end of the night, unbeatable!
