Taylor & Tanner
Romantic Golf Course Wedding

Weddings

Taylor and Tanner’s wedding day has been on my books since April of 2024– from the moment we had our first call I knew this couple was something special. These two are the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever had the honor of photographing, so when their big day finally rolled around, I couldn’t have been more excited.

Their wedding (at Arrowhead Golf Club) was filled with laughs and tears– the weather graced us with a bit of rain (but also a beautiful little rainbow). Everything about the day felt intentional, but maybe that’s just because Taylor and Tanner make every moment feel so present and purposeful.

To Taylor and Tanner

Thank you both so much for trusting in me to capture this day for y’all. You both are such lovely people and deserve all the happiness in the world. Cannot wait to see what’s in store for y’all! So much love <3

How the couple met

“Tanner and I met at Gin Mill in LoDo 3 weeks after I moved to Denver. I was out with some girlfriends I met on Bumble BFF, and he was out for his 28th birthday party. He and his friends were dressed like they were going to Mardi Gras, but, it was July 26th, so that didn’t make sense. My friends and I had to see what was going on, so we went over to talk to their group. Tanner and I got to talking, and the rest is history! We went on our first date about a week later to Jazz in the Park at City Park.”

All about the proposal

“One of the first trips we took together back in 2022 was to Glenwood Springs. It’s a special place for us, as well as the setting for the proposal. Tanner worked with some of the people at the Hotel Colorado (where we stayed) to plan a romantic surprise. We checked into the hotel on Friday, and by Saturday afternoon, there was “a problem” with our room, so we had to be moved. We packed up our things and went back down to the front desk. The driver for the hotel met us in the lobby and said he’d be taking us to our new room. Turns out, our new room ended up being the tower suite. A HUGE room with a balcony overlooking the hot springs. The driver (named Tom) opened the door for us, and said we should check out the balcony. We walked up the stairs and sitting on the balcony was a table with chocolate covered strawberries and some champagne. I knew then something was happening. Tanner got down on one knee and proposed. Tom also happens to be a photographer in his free time, so he took some great pictures of everything happening. It was perfect!”

What they were most looking forward to on wedding day

“We are looking forward to of course getting married! But, we are also looking forward to having all of our friends and family together to dance and celebrate! On a more specific level, two moments that we are looking forward to are our private vows, and taking pictures on the golf course together as newlyweds!”

Wedding Day

First Looks

Taylor and Tanner chose to do a first look with each other, but before that big moment Taylor had a first look with her dad. Her dad, “Gary” told me he was an absolute pro in regards to first looks since his other daughter had gotten married last year– that didn’t stop him from immediately crying upon seeing Taylor.

Taylor and Tanner’s first look with each other was equally emotional. They had both warned me prior that tears would flow and they definitely did. The couple also chose to read each other private vows, which was probably my favorite moment of the day.

Wedding Party Photos on the Green

The venue had so many gorgeous spots for photos, but we chose to do wedding party overlooking the red rocks on the expansive green. This wedding party was such a great bunch, everyone was so kind and we had quite a few folks hamming it up, which always makes the experience so much more fun to photograph.

Ceremony

This was truly one of the most stunning ceremony locations I’ve ever photographed. The iconic red rocks and lush greenery made for picture perfect photos. I can see why Taylor and Tanner booked this venue immediately after touring it.

Their ceremony was performed by their friend Evan and he absolutely smashed it (even remembering to step out for the first kiss!! Go Evan!) Their public vows were short and sweet, it was such a perfect ceremony.

Couples Photos on the Golf Course

After ceremony we got to jump in golf courses and ride around the property. There were so many incredible spots we were absolutely spoiled for choice. One of my favorite moments was when Taylor spotted a small sliver of a rainbow peeking out from the clouds. Since we had done an engagement session last June it felt like I was photographing friends.

Reception

Reception was help in a large white tent overlooking the green. The couple started with their grand entrance and then moved into their first dance song (Love you for a long time) (Love love, biiig Maggie Rogers fan). After dinner we had a couple toasts by Taylor’s sister and Tanner’s best men. The night ended with some great dancing, I was sad to leave the party so early but I know the couple had a blast on the dancefloor.
