Located in Edwards, just outside of Vail, Harvest at Sonnenalp Club has a completely different feel from a traditional resort wedding. Instead of village streets and hotel interiors, you’re surrounded by wide-open mountain views, manicured greens, and the dramatic peaks of the Vail Valley.
Harvest sits at the Sonnenalp Club, with views toward Vail Mountain’s Game Creek Bowl and Arrowhead Ski Area. The ceremony takes place on the club’s Wedding Green, with the golf course and mountains creating the backdrop. From there, guests can move inside to Harvest for dinner and dancing, making the entire wedding feel connected without feeling overly formal.
As a Colorado wedding photographer, this is the kind of venue I love for couples who want their wedding photographs to feel beautiful and editorial while still having a very real sense of place.

Sonnenalp Hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Vail. It truly has the most incredible European charm.
Harvest is located at the Sonnenalp Club in Edwards, Colorado, at 1265 Berry Creek Road.
It’s roughly 15 minutes from Vail, which makes it a convenient option for couples who want the scenery and atmosphere of the Vail Valley without being directly in the village.

Harvest is a bit different from the larger Sonnenalp Hotel wedding experience when it comes to pricing.
Current published pricing lists a reception starting around $7,000 and a ceremony starting around $1,000, with bar service listed around $65 per person. But pricing largely depends on season and guest count.
There is a food and beverage minimum, and catering is handled by the venue.
As always, I would treat those numbers as starting points rather than a quote. Wedding pricing can change based on your date, guest count, menu, bar package, rentals, and other details.
Harvest can accommodate 175 guests, but if you’re having an outdoor reception on the terrace, that number will feel quite cramped. I feel like this space really thrives around 100 guests.
The golf club has dressing areas, but if you’re looking for a larger, more luxurious getting-ready experience with beautiful natural light, I would consider getting ready at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail. Sonnenalp Hotel is an absolutely stunning property with huge floor to ceiling windows and some suites even have private balconies– which work so well for couples portraits.

The ceremony location is one of the reasons I’d put Harvest on your list if mountain views are high on your priority list.
Ceremonies take place on the Wedding Green, which is the Sonnenalp Golf Club’s second putting green. The setting is surrounded by the golf course and sweeping mountain views, including Vail Mountain’s Game Creek Bowl and Arrowhead Ski Area.

Cocktail hour can be held indoors or outdoors. Since Harvest is a full time restaurant, there’s a gorgeous full bar where guests can grab drinks. And also a stunning wrap around terrace where folks can mingle and take in the mountain views.

Inside, Harvest has a more refined mountain-club atmosphere.
The restaurant features high ceilings, exposed beams, warm wood finishes, and large windows overlooking the surrounding landscape. The result is elegant without feeling stuffy.
The venue also handles the food and beverage, and Harvest has a reputation for being particularly strong on the dining side. Current venue listings note plated dinners, buffet options, cocktail hour, dessert stations, champagne toasts, and other menu options.

There are so many gorgeous photo opportunities at the Sonnenalp. The hotel is obviously a gorgeous spot for photos, but you can also take advantage of Vail Village and cute streets and restaurants. The golf course has a beautiful mountain view and looks great all year round. And if you really want a truly epic Colorado style wedding backdrop– you can pop up the gondola for some amazing mountain views.
