A guide to having a Lionsgate Event Center Wedding
Lionsgate Event Center is a beautiful wedding venue situated in Lafayette, Colorado. The venue was built in the 1920’s so has lots of historical charm and character. The venue has 3 different ceremony and reception options that you can book– The Dove House, Chandelier Barn and Gatehouse.

A tour of a Lionsgate Event Center Wedding
Getting Ready
Getting ready at Lionsgate Event Center is super easy since there are two getting ready suites held inside the reception building. Both are spacious and comfy with plenty of room for hair and makeup.
Ceremony
Ceremonies at the Gatehouse are typically held outdoors under their gazebo style ceremony site. However, indoor ceremonies are an option in case of inclement weather. (They would be held in the reception site in front of the stained glass windows).
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour is pretty free flowing at Lionsgate Event Center. People can mill about between the outdoor covered patio (right behind ceremony site) and inside at the bar area. If you’re wanting to make sure you get empty reception shots, just make sure you have your guests clear the area so you can get those photos!
Reception
Receptions are held indoors in their ballroom. There is tons of space and plenty of windows which make the space feel even bigger. This is a great reception space for larger weddings. I love the stained glass and wooden touches that give the space such a unique look.
Photo Locations
There are tons of photos opportunities on the grounds of Lionsgate event center. I loved how green and lush everything looked during this wedding. There were tons of flowers and trees in bloom. You won’t be short of photo locations that’s for sure!

Caitlyn and Brian’s wedding was held in the summer and it was absolutely perfect. I love how they incorporated their heritage and traditions into the day. These two are so incredibly fun to photograph and could not be more welcoming and kind.
Why you should have a Lionsgate Event Center Wedding
- Close to Denver and Boulder. This venue is just 30 minutes from downtown Denver and 20 minutes from Boulder, making it a breeze to access, find lodging and explore.
- Fantastic day of coordinators. After booking you will be paired with a day of coordinator that fits your personality and needs. And they are fantastic!
- The indoor or outdoor ceremony option. I love the that there is such a great indoor ceremony option. It is beautiful and unique with chandeliers and stained glass windows. So if you do need to pivot to an indoor ceremony you can do so with ease.
