If you choose the full day wedding package at Chatfield Botanic Gardens, your hours will begin at noon. Depending on your timeline and ceremony start time this might not be enough getting ready time. But if it is, you have several options for getting ready locations. All locations have plenty of space and are centrally located to the ceremony and reception sites.
There are several different ceremony sites at Chatfield Botanic Gardens. The most popular is the outdoor gazebo location, which is featured below. This spot has beautiful backlight (which means it looks stunning closer to sunset). There is a nice long aisle for lots of photos.
After your ceremony, you will likely have a cocktail hour to entertain guests while you take photos. Cocktail hours at Chatfield Botanic Garden are either held outside the red barn under the twinkly lights or under the tree right near the white barn. I love how much space there is for guests to spread out, so they can play games, socialize, or just wander the gardens.
The reception space at Chatfield Botanic Gardens is held in one of their two barns, either the large centrally located white barn or the red barn. It totally depends on your preference, I prefer the white barn since the inside is lighter in color and just seems to photograph better.
Since Chatfield is a Botanical Garden, the options for photos are vast. I was shocked at how well the grounds looked during this early May wedding since everywhere else in Colorado was still pretty dead, but there was quite a bit of greenery even so early in the year. Chatfield Botanic Gardens really shines later in the season or in Fall when the grounds are bursting with foliage and color!
