Getting Ready

Boulder Creek by Wedgewood Wedding’s has a maximum of 5 hours of venue coverage, which means you will likely get ready off site. However, the main getting ready suite is spacious with tons of light, which will be a wonderful backdrop for getting into your wedding attire and portraits.

Ceremony

There are three different ceremony options at Boulder Creek by Wedgewood Weddings.

  1. The lawn with tree view (pictured below) – This is the largest of all three sites and is really beautiful in the late afternoon.
  2. Creekside (pictured in the veil toss photo in the Portrait Locations section) – This site probably the most picturesque but is a little smaller.
  3. Indoors (pictured in the open dancing photos) – This is the smallest of the sites and usually only used during poor weather, but is a good option if needed.

Photo Locations

There are so many fantastic locations for portraits at Boulder Creek by Wedgewood Weddings. I just love the light coming through the trees during the afternoon, it makes for the perfect portraits! In August there were also tons of little pockets of flowers which was a really lovely backdrop for photos as well.

Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour is held outdoors and indoors, which is great in the event of inclement weather. There are two different bars (indoor and outdoor) which is great for larger groups. There’s plenty of space for your guests to hang out and mingle and walk around enjoying the scenery.

Reception

Receptions are held in the outdoor tent and can accommodate around 250 people. I like that you still feel you’re outdoors while still having cover from the elements. There is plenty of space for all of your guests, but if you do go on the higher end for occupancy, there’s not a ton of space for dancing or toasts.

Open Dancing

Dancing is usually moved from the tent to the indoor ceremony option site. It is a round room with lots of windows, so it feels just spacious enough for crowds but not too big that people won’t want to dance. The only difficulty is getting people to the dance floor from the reception space.

Why you should have a Boulder Creek by Wedgewood Wedding

  1. Close to Boulder. This venue is minutes from Boulder, making it a breeze to access, find lodging and explore.
  2. Indoor ceremony site. This should be such a huge factor in venue selection! In the event of bad weather it is so great to have a nice indoor option.
  3. All inclusive nature. Wedgewood is a large wedding company with venues all across Colorado. Something that sets them apart is their ability to do all inclusive. With the elite package you get a DJ, florist, officiant, catering, day of coordinator, photo booth, cold touch sparklers, lighting, linens, tables and invitations– this takes a lot of the stress and planning away, which some couples really love!
