A guide to having a Wellshire Event Center Wedding
Wellshire Event Center is a historic wedding venue built in the 1920’s. The venue is situated on Wellshire Golf Course, which boasts beautiful views all year round. The venue has a large capacity of up to 320 people, making it the perfect place for larger weddings and events!

A tour of a Wellshire Event Center Wedding
Getting Ready
There are two getting ready options at Wellshire Event Center, the first, the Veranda, is upstairs and has plenty of space for larger wedding parties and getting ready. The second is downstairs and is quite a bit smaller but still plenty of space to hang out and chill before the ceremony. (It is probably a little too tight for hair and makeup, so keep that in mind!)
Ceremony
Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the grass with the golf course view (see the photos of grandpa holding baby for that ceremony option). Or the more popular indoor option with tons of windows and drapings. Both options are gorgeous, it’s great to have such a good indoor option in case of inclement weather!
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hours are held indoors and outdoors. There is a set cocktail hour space indoors so that your reception space can be made ready without interference. There is plenty of space for guests to mingle and walk around.
Reception
Receptions are held indoors in their ballroom. There is tons of space and plenty of windows which make the space feel even bigger. This is a great reception space for larger weddings.
Photo Locations
There are so many wonderful spots for photos at Wellshire Event Center. You can take photos with the historic building in the background and all its gorgeous brick walls. Or you can venture out into the golf course (just make sure you’re not on the putting green!) for beautiful green sweeping views. You can even see a peak of the mountains on a clear day!

Why you should have a Wellshire Event Center Wedding
- Close to Denver. This venue is just 15 minutes from downtown Denver, making it a breeze to access, find lodging and explore.
- It will look good year round. Since this location is on a golf course, there is more upkeep than a normal venue– which means when most of Denver’s greenery has died off, this venue will still look lush and beautiful!
- It’s an affordable venue. For Colorado venues, Wellshire Event Center is a pretty affordable venue, especially considering how close it is to Downtown Denver.
