Getting ready at Punch Bowl Social is a bit tricky since it’s obviously not a traditional venue. I do believe they have a private room you can rent out for getting ready, but my bride chose to just arrive nearly completely ready. Just had to find a private place to put on her wedding dress. Luckily, there are so many great hotels and Airbnb’s nearby so finding a spot for getting ready shouldn’t be much of a difficulty.
There are several different options for ceremony sites, it really depends on your vibe, how many guests you have and how much of the space you want to rent out. There is an option for a full venue buyout, so in theory you could really have your ceremony anywhere.
This is where Punch Bowl Social really shines. The reception. Food is catered directly through the venue, so you don’t have to worry about that. And then you really are spoiled for choice on activities. This wedding couple’s rental included 2 bowling lanes for their 3 hour rental and their guests had so much fun. If you’re wanting to spend your reception playing games, eating food and having beverages, Punch Bowl Social really is a great option.
This is definitely a non-traditional venue, which makes for non-traditional wedding portraits. But if you’re looking for fun and candid photos, those can definitely be arranged at Punch Bowl Social. There are so many fun backgrounds, colors and textures at this venue. It was really fun photographing.
If you’re wanting more traditional portraits for your wedding day, I’d recommend going off-site for a bit and capturing some portraits at a nearby park (Punch Bowl Social Denver is conveniently located about 10 minutes from Washington Park, Cheesman Park and even the Denver Botanical Gardens). Another option would be incorporating a day after or anniversary session (essentially dressing up in your wedding attire for another round of portraits on a different day) this way you could get those classic wedding photos, while not disturbing your wedding day.
