A guide to having a Black Canyon Inn Wedding
Black Canyon Inn is one of Estes Park‘s many wedding venues and it is absolutely stunning. The venue is located about an hour from Denver. The venue offers beautiful mountain views and rustic finishes.
There are two main ceremony sites available, The Homestead and The Boulders.

A tour of a Black Canyon Inn Wedding – The Homestead
Getting Ready
Black Canyon Inn is first and foremost an Inn. So there are tons of lodging and accomodations available onsite. Most people getting married here choose to stay in one of the many cabins or apartments available.
Ceremony
Ceremonies are held outdoors on the rooftop. The ceremony site is partially covered meaning rain or shine you’ll get a gorgeous open air ceremony site with mountain views.
Photo Locations
SkyView Fall River is nestled just outside Rocky Mountain National Park, which means it has a beautiful mountain backdrop for photos. There are several locations in and around the venue, but keep in mind you might have to traverse some stairs due to the layout of the venue.
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour is held on one of the two rooftop areas. There is tons of space for your guests to mingle and a large bar set up for drinks. The area is partially covered so inclement weather isn’t an issue!
Reception
Receptions are held in the massive ballroom. One of my favorite aspects is the sliding glass windows which allow an indoor outdoor reception. This makes the space feel massive and lets all your guests enjoy the crisp mountain air.

Shayna and Sean eloped the previous year but wanted to have an epic party– enter this wedding / reception fusion. It was super non-traditional and very them. It was such a blast to be a part of!
Why you should have a Black Canyon Inn Wedding
- Minutes from Estes Park. This venue is within walking distance from downtown Estes Park, which means you and your guests will have tons of fun things to do and see.
- Lodging On-site. Because the venue is within a community of lodging, you and all your guests can stay on the property. How amazing for all your guests to be able to just walk home after?
- The covered ceremony site. The covered ceremony site means that rain or shine you are ensured to have a beautiful ceremony view.
