I absolutely loved photographing Tyler and Melissa’s engagement photos at Mount Falcon. It had snowed the previous weekend so there was still just enough snow to be pretty but not too much that it was up to our knees. But it was still COLD. Poor Melissa was such a freakin trooper when it came to braving the weather in her dress.
We started with a fancy outfit and then moved to something more casual. I always recommend doing an outfit change for your engagement photos– this way you can use something different for your save the dates and your invitations. (And just more photos, win win.)
Most of my engagement sessions are about an hour. I’ve found this is the perfect amount of time for one outfit change and a variety of backdrops and poses. If you’re wanting to do something more adventurous or with different locations involving travel then my two hour sessions would probably be perfect for you!
This specific location is one of my favorites since it’s so close to Denver, yet gives you a gorgeous mountain backdrop. The only downside is it is quite popular with other photographers. So I sometimes recommend a weekday session.
I can’t wait to photograph Melissa and Tyler’s upcoming wedding at the Oaks at Plum Creek!
