Grand Ivory Wedding in Dallas, Texas

I photographed Zach and Mckhenzie’s wedding last weekend at the Grand Ivory and boy oh boy was it a good one.

Zach and Mckhenzie are two of the sweetest, coolest couples I’ve ever met. You can truly tell that these two are best friends.

The day was a gorgeous and warm, with the perfect amount of breeze. The sky was the most vibrant shade of blue with tons of fluffy clouds- dream Texas summer weather, let me tell ya! I arrived at the Grand Ivory venue and started photographing some of Mckhenzie’s details. Mckhenzie had said that details weren’t a huge priority, but that she wanted shots of her moccasins and blessed feathers. Her grandma is native american and made these moccasins by hand. To this day one of my favorite wedding details I’ve ever photographed. It was such a great way to showcase their culture.

After Mckhenzie got into her dress and had a first look with her dad, it was time to get these two married! The ceremony was held in an open air pavilion overlooking a small pond.

I love that the Grand Ivory has all white buildings, it makes the most gorgeous clean shots.

The ceremony was perfect, the officiant did such a fantastic job. It was so sweet and sentimental. You can really tell how tight and close knit the family is. Once the ceremony was over we did our family and wedding photos and then my favorite part of the day- romantic portraits!! I had such a great time photographing these two, they’re just so giggly and fun. Throughout the whole shoot Zach was telling Mckhenzie how gorg she was- grade A hype man.

Now that all the portraits were done it was time to party!! The stars of the show by far were their nieces and nephews. These kids went ham. All in all, such a gorgeous day.
