And it’s not just because they are epic, it’s because they are usually intimate and personalized. The choice to elope can be a difficult one for some, but I have never experienced anyone regretting their choice to elope. I have however, had lots of couples and friends regret not eloping. This elopement with Semhar and Stephen was one of my favorites. It combined everything I love about elopements. It was intimate (just the two of them) it was at a location that was meaningful, and they brought two bottles of champagne to celebrate– my kinda people.
This elopement was only a few hours, but many elopements can be all day. In fact I encourage that! Just because you’re eloping, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be just as celebrated and special as a traditional wedding day.
